What is Mechcraft?

Imagine possessing the ability to summon a swarm of shape-shifting sentient nanotechnology from your flesh and telepathically commanding it to form weapons, tools, devices- anything you can imagine and obtain the skills to create. This is Mechcraft.

When scientists harness a miracle nanotechnology, no one could have foreseen the world-changing consequences. A true sentient nanotech embedded in the DNA of its host. Telepathic communication and a tech ready to obey every command. The terrifying ability to summon the nanotech from the flesh and command it to form nearly anything the wielder desires.

But how best to utilize this power to serve humankind? Disagreements led to arguments, which led to a three-way fracture among the scientists. Recruitment surged on all sides, the stakes being so high, until all-out war erupted.

After two decades of a secret war, a tenuous stalemate settled over the three factions. Enter our hero, teen Jake London, the first person born with the nanotech already coursing through his DNA. A wildcard had entered the fray and all factions believed his powers would differ from anyone else's. The hunt for Jake was on.
